What is graduated compression?
Graduated compression applies the greatest pressure at the extremities (lower limbs), gradually decreasing towards the heart.

The science behind Hidez
Muscles rely on oxygen, ATP energy production, and efficient waste removal to perform at their best. During exercise and transport, muscles experience vibration, fatigue and metabolic stress.
Overworked or overstretched muscle fibres can leak creatine kinase (CK), a recognised marker of muscle strain. Excess vibration during travel may contribute to muscle fatigue and stiffness.

Warp-knit fabrics are more durable than circular knits and maintain structural integrity and shape memory even under intense physical exertion.

Protocol questions
When Should Compression Be Used?
Hidez compression suits can be worn during transport, before exercise or competition, after exercise to assist recovery, during recovery from injury where a vet has advised it, and for extended standing periods (not recommended while lying down). Typical wear time is four to twelve hours.
Are Hidez Suits Restrictive?
No. Hidez suits provide firm, structured support while allowing full range of movement. They are designed to stabilise muscles without restricting natural motion.
Will My Animal Overheat?
The fabric is breathable and moisture-wicking, so the animal is not standing in a sealed layer, and it is designed to hold body warmth in cold conditions. In real heat, shorten the session, put a hand under the garment when you check, and take the suit off if the animal feels hot or unsettled.
Care Instructions
Machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent, and no bleach or fabric softener. Do not tumble dry — air dry naturally in the shade. Gentle washing preserves the elastomeric yarn that makes the compression work.
